Juliet Stevenson

Juliet Anne Virginia Stevenson , CBE (* thirtieth October 1956 in Kelvedon , Essex as Juliet Stevens ) is a British actress .

Life

In 1991, Stevenson was named one of the twelve most promising new actors in John Willis' Screen World (One of twelve, "Promising New Actors in 1991").

She trained as an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art , of which she is now a board member. After graduation, she began an acting career both on stage (around 40 theater productions so far with the Royal Shakespeare Company, among others ) and in front of the camera.

She is the sister of the actress Gerda Stevens. She has a daughter with Hugh Brody.

Awards

  • 1992 (1991 season), she received the Laurence Olivier Theater Award for Best Actress for her performance in "Death and the Maiden" ( " Death and the Maiden ")
  • 1999 Awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire)
