The canton Hoof was an administrative unit in the Kassel district of the Fulda department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main place of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was the place Hoof in today's district of Kassel . The canton comprised eight villages, had 3,662 inhabitants, and an area of ​​1.49 square miles .
