The canton of Thola Khollu is an administrative district in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The canton of Thola Khollu is one of four cantons of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Catacora in the province of José Manuel Pando and is located in the central western part of the district. It is bordered to the northeast by the canton of Catacora , to the west and south by the Republic of Peru , and to the northeast by the canton of Pojo Pajchiri .
The canton extends between 17 ° 11 'and 17 ° 18' 30 "south latitude and 69 ° 30 'and 69 ° 68' 30" west latitude, it measures from north to south up to fourteen kilometers and from west to east up to twelve kilometers. The canton consists of nine localities ( localidades ), the central place is Thola Khollu with 32 inhabitants ( 2012 ) in the central part of the canton.

The canton of Thola Khollu is located southwest of Lake Titicaca on the Bolivian Altiplano on the eastern edge of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Occidental , which here rises to around 5000 m. The climate of the region is semi-arid and a typical time of day climate , in which the mean temperature fluctuation during the day is more pronounced than during the seasonal course.
