The canton (Spanish: Cantón ) Trinidad is a municipality in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The canton of Trinidad is the only canton in the municipality of Trinidad in the province of Cercado . It borders the municipality of San Javier to the north, the province of Moxos to the west , and the province of Marbán to the south and southeast .
In the western part of the canton is the city of Trinidad with 101,454 inhabitants ( 2012 census ).

The canton of Trinidad has a tropical hot and humid climate all year round . The annual average temperature is 26 ° C (see climate diagram Trinidad), with the monthly average temperatures between June / July at a good 23 ° C and October / December at just under 28 ° C only slightly different. The annual precipitation is almost 2000 mm and is therefore more than twice as high as the precipitation in Central Europe.
