Marbán is a province in the southeastern part of the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

location

The province is one of eight provinces in the Beni department. It borders on the Moxos Province to the west, the Cochabamba Department to the south, the Santa Cruz Department to the east , and the Cercado Province to the north .

The province extends approximately between 14 ° 49 'and 16 ° 13' south latitude and 63 ° 20 'and 65 ° 22' west longitude, its extent from west to east is 280 kilometers, from north to south also up to 280 kilometers.

The province of Marbán is divided into the following two municipalities (districts):

  • 08-0601 Municipio Loreto (6,751 km²) in the western part of the province - 3,828 inhabitants - 0.6 inhabitants / km²
  • 08-0602 Municipio San Andrés (9,958 km²) in the eastern part of the province - 12,503 inhabitants - 1.3 inhabitants / km²
