Loreto is a town in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Loreto is the seat of the administration of the province of Marbán and the central place of the municipality of Loreto . The village is located at an altitude of 161  m on the right, eastern bank of the Río Mamoré and about twenty kilometers from it. Loreto is located southeast of Trinidad , the capital of the department.

Loreto is located in the Bolivian lowlands in the river plain of the Río Mamoré and has a tropical hot and humid climate all year round .

The annual average temperature is 26 ° C, with the monthly average temperatures between June / July at a good 23 ° C and October / December at just under 28 ° C (see climate diagram Trinidad). The annual precipitation is almost 2000 mm and is therefore more than twice as high as the precipitation in Central Europe. From Trinidad a country road leads 36 kilometers in a south-easterly direction past the Laguna Suárez to San Andrés , from there a country road branches off in a south-westerly direction, crosses the Río Ibare and after 19 kilometers reaches Loreto.
