Loreto is a town in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Loreto is the seat of the administration of the province of Marbán and the central place of the municipality of Loreto . The village is located at an altitude of 161 m on the right, eastern bank of the Río Mamoré and about twenty kilometers from it. Loreto is located southeast of Trinidad , the capital of the department.

Loreto is located in the Bolivian lowlands in the river plain of the Río Mamoré and has a tropical hot and humid climate all year round .
The annual average temperature is 26 ° C, with the monthly average temperatures between June / July at a good 23 ° C and October / December at just under 28 ° C (see climate diagram Trinidad). The annual precipitation is almost 2000 mm and is therefore more than twice as high as the precipitation in Central Europe. Maximum values of around 300 mm in the months of December to February contrast with low values of around 50 mm in July / August.

Loreto is 55 kilometers south-east of Trinidad by road and can be reached via an unpaved road connection.
From Trinidad a country road leads 36 kilometers in a south-easterly direction past the Laguna Suárez to San Andrés , from there a country road branches off in a south-westerly direction, crosses the Río Ibare and after 19 kilometers reaches Loreto.

The population of the village has fluctuated over the past two decades. The significant decrease in the past decade is related to the fact that "Loreto" has been divided into the three municipalities "Loreto" (128 inhabitants), "27 de Mayo" (235 inhabitants) and "10 de Diciembre" (291 inhabitants):
