The municipality of Loreto is a district in the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Loreto is one of two municipalities in the province of Marbán and is located in the western part of the province. It borders the province of Moxos to the west, the department of Cochabamba to the south, the municipality of San Andrés to the east , and the province of Cercado to the north .
The administrative seat of the province is Loreto with 128 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northern part of the municipality.

Loreto is located in the Bolivian lowlands in the river plain of the Río Mamoré and has a tropical hot and humid climate all year round .
The annual average temperature is 26 ° C, with the monthly average temperatures between June / July at a good 23 ° C and October / December at just under 28 ° C (see climate diagram Trinidad ). The annual precipitation is almost 2000 mm and is therefore more than twice as high as the precipitation in Central Europe. Maximum values of around 300 mm in the months of December to February contrast with low values of around 50 mm in July / August.
