Vaca Díez (also: Antonio Vaca Díez ) is a province in the northern part of the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia . The province takes its name in honor of Antonio Vaca Díez , who was the first medical practitioner in the Beni region in the 19th century.
location
The province is one of eight provinces in the Beni department. It borders on the Pando Department to the west, the Ballivián and Yacuma Province to the south, the Mamoré Province to the southeast , and the Republic of Brazil to the east .
The province extends between 10 ° 20 'and 12 ° 04' south latitude and 65 ° 00 'and 67 ° 00' west longitude, its expansion from west to east is up to 210 kilometers, from north to south 230 kilometers.

- 08-0201 Municipio Riberalta (13,030 km²) in the western part of the province - 89,003 inhabitants - 6.8 inhabitants / km²
- 08-0202 Municipio Guayaramerín (6,353 km²) in the eastern and northern part of the province - 41,775 inhabitants - 6.6 inhabitants / km²
