Tumichucua is a town in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Tumichucua is the fourth largest town in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) of Riberalta in the province of Vaca Díez after the city of Riberalta . The village is located at an altitude of 139 m on Lake Tumichucua , a 4400 meter long and up to 1400 meter long lake in a loop of the Río Beni .

Tumichucua is located in the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in the northeast corner of the country on the border with Brazil.
The average annual temperature in the region is 26 ° C and fluctuates only slightly between 25 ° C in May and 27–28 ° C from December to February (see climate diagram Riberalta). The annual precipitation is about 1,300 mm, with a pronounced dry season from June to August with monthly precipitation below 20 mm, and a humidity period from December to January with monthly precipitation of more than 200 mm.

Transport network
Tumichucua is 729 kilometers by road north of Trinidad , the capital of the Beni department.
From Trinidad, the Ruta 9 highway runs for 619 kilometers to Guayaramerín on the border with Brazil on the left bank of the Río Mamoré . Here it meets Ruta 8 , which leads in a south-westerly direction to the city of Riberalta , 86 kilometers away . Continuing along the route of Ruta 8 , a road branches off to the northwest after 21 kilometers, which ends in Tumichucua after a further three kilometers .
