Villa Alba is a village in the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Villa Alba is the second largest town in the canton of San Lorenzo in the municipality of San Andrés in the province of Marbán . The village is located at an altitude of 161  m on the right, western bank of the Río Mocoui , a few kilometers above its confluence with the Río Ibare , which flows 135 kilometers downstream into the Río Mamoré .

Villa Alba is located in the Bolivian lowlands in the Moxos plain , with over 100,000 km² one of the largest wetlands on earth. The predominant form of vegetation in the San Andrés region is the tropical savannah .

The annual average temperature is 26 ° C (see climate diagram Trinidad), with the monthly average temperatures between June / July at a good 23 ° C and October / December of just under 28 ° C only slightly different. The road connection from Trinidad to Villa Alba continues in a south-westerly direction to the village of Loreto .
