Naranjitos (also: Naranjito ) is a town in the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Naranjitos is the most populous place in the canton of San Lorenzo in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) of San Andrés in the province of Marbán . The village is located at an altitude of 164  m six kilometers east of the Río Ibare , a right tributary of the Río Mamoré .

Naranjitos is located in the Bolivian lowlands in the Moxos plain , with over 100,000 km² one of the largest wetlands on earth. The predominant form of vegetation in the San Andrés region is the tropical savannah .

The annual average temperature is 26 ° C (see climate diagram Trinidad), with the monthly average temperatures between June / July at a good 23 ° C and October / December of just under 28 ° C only slightly different. The annual precipitation is almost 2000 mm and is therefore more than twice as high as the precipitation in Central Europe. From Naranjitos an unpaved road leads seven kilometers west to the neighboring village Sachojere , from there in a north-west direction over a further 24 kilometers to the city of Trinidad .

Naranjitos is connected to the rest of the country via Trinidad: From here the national road Ruta 3 leads west on the Bolivian Altiplano to La Paz ; the north-south running Ruta 9 connects Trinidad with Guayaramerín in the north-east of the country and via the lowland metropolis Santa Cruz with Yacuiba on the Argentine border.
