Pulpit in Saintes

The pulpit in the church of St-Vivien in Saintes , a French town in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 19th century. The wooden pulpit has been classified as a monument historique since 1994 .

The base of the pulpit has carvings in floral form and on the pulpit wall there are reliefs with scenes from the New Testament. The sound cover is crowned by an angel. A dove is attached to the bottom as a symbol of the Holy Spirit .
