Pulpit in Bignay

The pulpit in the church of St-Sauveur in Bignay , a French commune in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 18th century. The wooden pulpit has been classified as a monument historique since 1984 .

The pulpit stands on a cylindrical base, the stairs have balusters . The pulpit basket and the pulpit wall are only slightly decorated with a carved decoration. A carved garland hangs on the sound cover, and it is crowned by an angel playing the trumpet .

In 2002/03 the pulpit was restored by Jean-Louis Dufon.
