history

The oldest known mention of a chapel in Redderse is a bill from 1593. Since the building was dilapidated, it was replaced by a new building between 1737 and 1738.

The listed chapel at Tivoli in the center of Redderse is a simple half- timbered building, closed in the east in a semi-octagonal shape, with a clear width of 5.7 m and a length of 10.3 m. A roof turret sits on the west gable . A major renovation took place in 1879.

The old pulpit, decorated with precious carvings , and the altarpiece of the Margarethenkirche in Gehrden were installed in the Redders chapel in 1968. The chapel community with around 250 members uses the chapel once a month for church services and for funerals at funerals in the Redders cemetery.

In 1984, 2006 and 2008 minor renovations took place. A thorough renovation of the historic building began in 2017 with the financial contribution of the regional church and parish district . The glass windows should be returned to their original state.
