Chapel of St. Anna in the field
The chapel of St. Anna auf dem Felde is a Roman Catholic chapel in the municipality of Lingenau in Vorarlberg . It is consecrated to St. Anna and is a listed building .
In 1722 a baroque chapel was built on the site of a previous chapel by master builder Konrad Nussbaumer from Lingenau and master carpenter Konrad Bilgeri . The small central building is a tetraconchus . It is plastered and has a curved roof covered with wooden shingles with a lantern . The square interior with corner pilasters and cones has a cross vault . The conches each have two windows with falling sill .
The altar is a two-storey, spatially curved structure with Corinthian columns, pilasters and blown entablature and a top with volutes, on the altar two Baroque paintings Anna Maria reading teaching and Joachim with two doves from 1968, named K. Honold.
In 1894 the interior was restored with paintings by Jakob Bertle , in 1968 an overall restoration with a ceiling painting with an allegorical representation of the founding of the diocese of Feldkirch by Konrad Honold, and again in 1984 an overall restoration.
