Karim Zaza ( Arabic كريم زازا; * January 9, 1975 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish - Moroccan football goalkeeper .

The 1.85 m tall son of a Moroccan father and a German mother grew up in Denmark and played for Aalborg BK from 2007 . His previous positions were Silkeborg IF , Fremad Amager , FC Copenhagen , Odense BK and Brøndby IF .

In 2006 Zaza went to the then German second division promoted Rot-Weiss Essen . He became a regular goalkeeper straight away. With the Essenes Zaza played permanently in the relegation battle. At the end of the season there was direct relegation.

Zaza returned to Denmark in 2007 and signed with Aalborg BK and became Danish champion in 2008. The following season they played in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and reached the group stage. There you reached the third place in the table, which you took part in participation in the round of 32 of the current UEFA Cup . In the round of 16, Aalborg was finally eliminated from the English Premier League club Manchester City .

In the league, Zaza finished seventh with Aalborg BK and was allowed to qualify for the UEFA Europa League as a Danish cup finalist . There they failed against the Bosnian club FK Slavija Sarajevo .
