Karin Kashuba

Karin Kaschuba (born September 17, 1948 in Hakenstedt ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ; formerly SED / PDS ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 1999 to 2014 .

Career

After graduating from high school with professional training as a ceramic painter, she studied history and German literature from 1968 and philosophy at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena from 1970 . After completing her studies in 1972, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Jena until 1991 and received her doctorate in 1980 with a thesis on Goethe's conception of society in " Wilhelm Meister's Wanderjahre or Die Abstagenden " . Since 1971 she has been a member of the SED (or SED-PDS, PDS and Die Linke) without interruption.

From 1991 to 1992 and from 1993 to 1999 she was an employee of the PDS and its district chairman in Jena . Since the state elections in 1999 , she was a member of the Thuringian state parliament, where she was deputy parliamentary group leader of her party and parliamentary group spokesperson for science and technology policy . To state election in 2014 it has not raced for more.

Kashuba is a member of the Jena City Council and the Jena-West district council .
