Karin Linhart

Karin Linhart (* 1972 in Lauda ) is a German legal scholar , lecturer at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and author of legal dictionaries .

Life

Linhart studied from 1991 jurisprudence at the University of Würzburg , where she passed her 1997 First State Exam. This was followed by a four-month stay at the Hague Academy for International Law and the Hague Conference on Private International Law in The Hague . After her return to Germany and her legal clerkship, she passed her second state examination in 1999. This was followed by her doctorate, which she began under the supervision of Karl Kreuzer in Würzburg and, after his retirement in 2002, completed it with his successor Eva-Maria Kieninger in 2003. Then acquired Linhart at the Duke University the LL.M title . Since November 2005, Linhart has been an academic advisor to the Dean's Office of the Law Faculty of the University of Würzburg. In particular, she heads the “Technical Language and Foreign Law” program. Linhart also teaches at the Institute for Law and Finance in Frankfurt am Main , the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and the University of Kinshasa .

Linhart's research focuses primarily on German and English legal language and German and US civil procedural law. She also works as a court expert on matters relating to foreign law. In addition, she is involved in legal cooperation with African nations; she is the chair of the Namibian German Legal Cooperation eV and the German-Congolese Lawyers Association (DKoJV) eV
