Karin Schlapbach

Karin Schlapbach (* 1969 ) is a Swiss classical philologist .

Life

She studied at the Universities of Basel , Bologna and Bern , then she worked as a research assistant at the Classic Philology Seminar of the University of Zurich , where it 2001 Dr. phil. received his doctorate . From 2004 to 2007 she conducted research at Cornell University , University of California, Berkeley , and King's College London . She teaches at the University of Ottawa as Assistant Professor of Classics (2007–2011), Associate Professor of Classics (2011–2016) and by cross-appointment at the Theater Department (2013–2016). Since 2016 she has been teaching as a professor for Latin studies at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) .
