Karin Zimmermann
Karin Zimmermann (born January 19, 1964 in Karlsruhe ) is a German Germanist , mediaevalist , librarian and head of the manuscript department of the Heidelberg University Library .
Act
Zimmermann received his doctorate in 1994 under Lothar Voetz at the University of Heidelberg . As a staff member at the university library, she cataloged the Heidelberg holdings of the Codices Palatini germanici until 2016 .
Zimmermann's ongoing projects include the digitization and scientific indexing of 403 Greek-language palatini graeci , which have been kept in the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana in Rome since 1623 . The joint project with Cambridge University is funded by the Polonsky Foundation. Another project is to open up 876 medieval and early modern Latin codices Palatini latini from the former Heidelberger Bibliotheca Palatina in Rome and provide modern catalogs according to scientific standards.
