Karitas Hensel
Karitas Dagmar Hensel (née Oschenik ; born April 19, 1946 in Haldensleben ; † November 13, 1999 in Darmstadt ) was a German teacher and politician ( Die Grünen ).

Coming from the peace movement and the ecological movement, Hensel joined the Green Party in 1982 . Since 1985 she has been a member of the district council of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district and was chairman of the Greens from 1993 to 1997. In addition, she was chairman of the local association Pfungstadt.
In the 1987 federal election she was elected to the German Bundestag via the Hesse state list of the Greens , to which she belonged until the end of the 11th electoral period in December 1990. In the Bundestag, Hensel was a full member of the committee for intra-German relations. She supported the civil rights movement in the GDR and was banned from entering the country by the GDR.
