The Karjoch is a 2305 m above sea level. A. Located alpine transition in the Allgäu Alps in Tyrol .
The saddle lies between the 2533 m high Ramstallspitze in the north and the 2388 m high Strahlkopf in the south. It is crossed by a marked hiking trail. It is of alpinistic importance for the approach to the southern ridge of the Ramstallspitze and the northern ascent of the Strahlkopf, but above all for the path from Elbigenalp to the Kemptner Hütte ( 1844 m ). An alternative to the Karjoch is the 2277 m high Gumpensattel south of the Strahlkopf , another is the Krottenkopfscharte ( 2350 m ) to the northeast.
