The Karka (also Koh-i-Karkamuzh ) is a mountain in the extreme northeast of the Hinduraj Mountains in Pakistan .

location

The Karka is located on the border of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the special territory of Gilgit-Baltistan . The mountain has a height of 6222  m . It is located on the south side of the Chiantar Glacier , which flows west to the Yarkhun . The glaciated southern slope is drained south to the Karambar River. A mountain ridge leads to the 6416  m high 4.59 km northeast of Chiantar Sar .

Ascent history

An Italian expedition managed the first ascent of the Karka on its northeast side (ED +) between August 12 and 14, 2007.
