Karl-Alfred Odin

Karl-Alfred Odin (born June 4, 1922 in Leipzig ; † February 12, 1992 in Hanau ) was a German theologian , journalist and publicist .

Life

After completing a theology degree, Odin worked as a political editor for a Nuremberg newspaper. From 1953 to 1961 he headed the Hesse editorial team of the Evangelical Press Service (epd) . Since 1961 he was a member of the political editorship of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . In addition to general political issues, he devoted himself particularly to religious development and church issues. In the course of his work he also discussed many Christian and theological books (e.g. by Dorothee Sölle ).

In 1989 Odin was the recipient of the Foundation Prize of the Bible and Culture Foundation .
