Karl-Heinz Binus

Siegfried Karl-Heinz Binus (born September 15, 1954 in Hilmersdorf ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament . He has been President of the Saxon Court of Auditors since March 30, 2010 .

Life

Karl-Heinz Binus attended the Polytechnische Oberschule (POS) in Hilmersdorf and completed vocational training with a high school diploma in Auerbach . He then studied physics and electrical automation technology at the TU Dresden and at the TH Zwickau , where he graduated in 1978. From November 1978 to April 1980 he did his basic military service in the National People's Army . Until 1983 he was technical manager at VEB Blechverarbeitung Marienberg. Since 1989 he was an unscheduled aspirant at the TH Zwickau. He was a member of the supervisory board of “ Konsument ” -Handels-GmbH.

From 1991 to 1995 he completed a correspondence course in industrial engineering at the AKAD University of Leipzig , which he graduated as a Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. completed. From November 1994 to February 1995 he was an employee of the Saxon Court of Auditors. In March 1995 he became Director of the Audit Office and a member of the Saxon Audit Office, where he was responsible for the supra-local municipal audit, the hospital audit and the audit of the Ministry of the Interior. From 2001 to 2005 he also completed a doctoral degree in economics with Ralf Michael Ebeling at the chair for external accounting and auditing at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg , which he received as Dr. rer. pole. completed. Binus has held a teaching position at the Leipzig Study Academy since 2006 , where he was made an honorary professor in 2008 . On September 27, 2007 he was elected Vice President of the Saxon State Parliament and on March 30, 2010, after Franz Josef Heigl's retirement, he was elected President of the Saxon Court of Auditors.

Since November 1999 Binus has been the honorary federal treasurer of the German Youth Hostel Association

Karl-Heinz Binus is an Evangelical Lutheran, married and has two children.

Karl-Heinz Binus has been a member of the CDU since 1976 . He was a member of the city council from 1984 to 1990 and mayor of Marienberg from 1983 to 1990 . In the first free Volkskammer elections in 1990 , he was elected to the Volkskammer .

In the state election in Saxony in 1990 , he was elected to the state parliament in October 1990 for constituency 54 (Marienberg) with a constituency result of 58.3%. In 1994 he left the state parliament when he started working for the audit office.
