The Marienberg constituency was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 54. For the state elections in 1994 and 1999 , the constituency structure was changed. The area of ​​the Marienberg constituency became part of the Central Ore Mountains constituency .

The constituency comprised all 35 municipalities of the Marienberg district : Sprung , Blumenau , Deutscheinsiedel , Deutschneudorf , Dittmannsdorf b. Sayda , Dörnthal , Forchheim , Großrückerswalde , Hallbach , Heidersdorf , Kühnhaide , Lauta , Lauterbach , Lengefeld , Lippersdorf , Marienberg , Mauersberg , Neuhausen / Erzgeb. , Niederlauterstein , Niedersaida , Niederschmiedeberg , Olbernhau , Pfaffroda , Pobershau , Pockau , Reifland , Reitzenhain , Rittersberg , Rothenthal , Rübenau , statutes , Seiffen / Erzgeb. , Wernsdorf , Wünschendorf and Zöblitz .
