Karl-Heinz Ludwig (lawyer)

Karl-Heinz Ludwig (born November 13, 1921 ; † January 30, 2017 ) was a German lawyer and President of the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court .

Life

Ludwig studied law and political science at the University of Marburg from 1946 to 1949 . He received his doctorate in 1952 with the dissertation identity and legal succession. An investigation into the problem of the protection of creditors in the event of the loss of the previous debtor , in which he discussed in particular the problem of who can currently be claimed for liabilities of the German Reich . First he was a court assessor at the Nuremberg Regional Court , then from 1953 to 1960 he was a District Court Counselor at the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court. From 1960 to 1969 he was a higher regional judge at the same court. He held the post of Senate President of the Higher Regional Court from 1970 to 1973. At the Higher Regional Court of Nuremberg, he was finally from 1973 to 1978 and Vice President from 1978 until his retirement president .

He was also a supervisory board member of the Universa insurance company and honorary deputy district chairman of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge .
