Karl-Robert Ameln (born September 4, 1919 in Stockholm ; † April 1, 2016 there ) was a Swedish sailor .

successes

Karl-Robert Ameln, who sailed for the Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet , took part in two Olympic Games in the 6-meter class . Ameln won the bronze medal at the 1948 Olympic Games in London . With the Ali-Baba II he secured third place behind the US and Argentine boats together with skipper Tore Holm and Martin Hindorff , Torsten Lord and Gösta Salén . In 1952 he sailed in Helsinki under Sven Salén on the May Be VII , but this time just missed another medal win as fourth.

From 1947 he was director of the Oskarshamn shipyard .
