Karl Abelmann

Karl Heinrich Abelmann (born December 9, 1877 in Vehlen , † January 6, 1928 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Karl Abelmann was born the son of a miner. After attending elementary school, he initially earned his living as a house boy, then completed an apprenticeship as a basket maker in Bückeburg and worked from 1896 to 1912 and again from October 1914 as a miner in Vehlener coal mining. From 1906 to 1912 he was the shop steward of the local miners' association .

In the course of the November Revolution , Abelmann became a member of the Workers 'and Soldiers' Council in Bückeburg. From November 1918 to January 1919 he was a member of the state assembly of Schaumburg-Lippe and from 1919 to 1928 a member of the state parliament of the Free State of Schaumburg-Lippe . In 1919 he served as vice-president of the state parliament.

Karl Abelmann had been married since 1902. In 1928 he had a fatal accident.
