Karl Aichhorn (* 1964 in Neumarkt im Mühlkreis ) is an Austrian musician , conductor , composer and educator .

Karl Aichhorn graduated from the Adalbert-Stifter-Gymnasium (Linz) and became principal flugelhorn player with the Upper Austrian Military Music. He studied music education and percussion at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Kurt Prihoda , Fritz Ozmec and Walter Schiefer ; Trumpet with Adolf Holler , instrumental and vocal pedagogy with Ernst Sobotka and conducting with Herwig Reiter and Johannes Prinz . He was also a soloist and orchestral musician under Franz Welser-Möst and Claudio Abbado .

He teaches teacher training at the Upper Austria University of Education and is a functionary at the CLV. In addition, he has been a music professor at the Georg von Peuerbach Gymnasium in Linz since 1990 , where he is also active in the promotion of gifted children.

Aichhorn is Kapellmeister of the Kleinmünchner band and district conductor of the Upper Austrian Brass Band Association Linz-Stadt. He also directs the Linz Chamber Orchestra. He has conducted several concerts for the Linz Concert Association . Aichhorn lives in Linz.
