Karl Böhm (engineer)

Karl Böhm (born December 13, 1885 - † July 5, 1956 ) was a German engineer .

Career

Böhm grew up in Au near Waltenhofen as the son of a sawmill owner who operated a hydroelectric power station. In 1920 Böhm was a founding partner of the Allgäuer Überlandwerk and was appointed managing director of the company when it was founded. Another founding member was the mayor of Kemptens Otto Merkt . The supply area was continuously expanded under Böhm's direction. In addition to the purchase of power plants at Iller and Lech , a new power plant was built near Füssen in 1951. He drafted the plans for the Rottach reservoir and the steam power plant in Peißenberg . In 1955 he moved to the company's board of directors.
