Karl Dannemann (born September 27, 1885 in Danzig ; † after 1950) was a German politician ( DDP , LDP ) and member of the state parliament in Saxony-Anhalt . In 1950 he fled to West Berlin .

Life

Karl Dannemann attended the St. Johann secondary school in Danzig and then completed an apprenticeship as a businessman and printer . He then worked in book printing and as editor of daily newspapers. In 1912 he bought a printing company in Stendal . 1915-1918 he performed military service in the First World War .

From 1918 to 1933 he was a member of the DDP and DStP. From 1918 to 1930 he was chairman of the Stendal branch and the Altmark regional association of his party. In 1920 he became head of the city ​​council in Stendal. From 1926 to 1929 he was a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony and a member of the board of the city council of the province of Saxony.

In 1945 he was one of the founders of the LDP in Stendal and local and district chairman of the Stendal district and the Altmark district association of his party. In 1946 he was a member of the appointed advisory assembly of the city of Stendal and the province of Saxony. In December 1946 he became an unpaid councilor for the city of Stendal. On September 27, 1946, he was appointed Lord Mayor of Stendal. He was a member of the board of the city council.

In the state elections in the province of Saxony in 1946 , he was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in constituency I ( Jerichow II , Salzwedel , Osterburg , Stendal , Gardelegen ) . There he was a member of the Committee on District and Community Affairs. He was a member of the state parliament until his resignation on April 27, 1950. In the same year he was expelled from the LDP as part of the political cleansing and had to flee to West Berlin .
