Karl Daubenthaler

Karl Daubenthaler (born May 9, 1876 in Sulzfeld , Baden , † September 23, 1937 in Hochstadt , Hesse-Nassau province ) was a German stonemason , politician of the SPD and Prussian district administrator in the Striegau district (1919-1932). Daubenthaler worked since 1908 as the trade union secretary of the Striegauer stone workers and Gauleiter Silesia of the stone workers' association. From 1913 to 1921 he worked as the main cashier, Konsumverein Arbeitersekr. Striegau.

Daubenthaler joined the SPD in 1899. Following the November Revolution , he was elected chairman of the Workers 'and Soldiers' Council in Striegau . He belonged to the provincial parliament of the province of Lower Silesia , was its chairman from 1920 and also a member of the provincial committee. From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Prussian State Constitutional Assembly .
