Karl Edmund Robert Alberti

Karl Edmund Robert Alberti (born July 12, 1801 in Danzig ; † November 4, 1870 in Potsdam ) was a German clergyman, educator , composer and author.

Life

Carl Edmund Robert Alberti studied theology and philosophy in Berlin , including music with Carl Friedrich Zelter . After completing his studies, he became second preacher at the St. Trinity Church in Gdansk , then a deacon of the upper parish church of Gdansk and in 1833 he became pastor of Praust (diocese of Danziger Höhe ). In 1837 he got the second diaconate position at the Protestant cathedral church Marienwerder . In 1841 he also became director of the higher education institution for female youth and the associated seminar for female teachers in Marienwerder . From 1854 to 1866 he was city ​​school councilor in Szczecin . After that he lived in Berlin and published some articles in the Neue Berliner Musikzeitung .

Alberti also composed vocal works . He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Three Golden Anchors for Love and Loyalty in Stettin.
