Karl Ferdinand Philippi

Karl Ferdinand Philippi (actually Lippert , born March 12, 1795 in Leipzig ; † September 3, 1852 ibid) was a German publicist and publisher .

Life

Philippi studied at the University of Leipzig , then lived in Upper Lusatia and in 1815 became director of the garrison school in Dresden , later director of the Realinstitut. In 1832 he went to Altenburg and in 1834 to Grimma , where he took over Reimer's printing and publishing house.

In 1835 he was appointed councilor .
