Karl Flubacher

Karl Flubacher (born September 3, 1921 in Läufelfingen ; † March 26, 1992 there ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

He completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and took over his father's construction company in 1944. From 1956 Flubacher was council in Läufelfingen, 1962-1979 mayor . In the canton of Basel-Country , he was from 1963 to 1971 liberal district . From 1967 to 1987 he was a member of the National Council. In 1986 he resigned from the FDP.

Karl Flubacher was co-initiator and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Radio Raurach , the first local radio station in Basel . He advocated the death penalty .
