Karl Frey (architect, 1943)

Karl Frey (born February 18, 1943 in Eichstätt ) is a German architect and former diocesan master builder.

Life

In 1970 Frey completed a three-year architecture course at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences with a degree in structural engineering. This was followed by four years in Josef Elfinger's Ingolstadt office . He then studied architecture for three years at the Technical University of Munich in 1974 . After graduating in 1980, Frey worked as a freelance architect in Eichstätt. In 1980 he was appointed government master builder. Between 1984 and 2003 he held various teaching positions at the universities in Regensburg and Munich . From 1984 to 1989 he was the city ​​architect of Eichstätt.

From 1992 to 2010, Frey was Karljosef Schattner's successor as diocesan master builder for the diocese of Eichstätt and university master builder at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt . Karl Frey is an extraordinary member of the Association of German Architects .
