Karl Friess

Karl Frieß (born January 24, 1845 in Meerholz ; † January 27, 1931 in Kassel ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .


Frieß attended high school in Hanau and studied law at the universities of Marburg , Leipzig and Berlin from 1863 to 1867. Then he was trainee lawyer and assessor at the courts in Hanau and Kassel, then lawyer and notary in Kassel since 1874. He made extensive trips in Europe and North America. He participated in the war of 1870/71 as a volunteer for the duration of the war.

From 1881 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Eschwege , Schmalkalden , Witzenhausen .
