Karl Glehn

Karl Glehn (born August 5, 1895 in Duisburg , † February 15, 1985 in Kronberg im Taunus ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a building contractor, Glehn became a lieutenant in the reserve after attending the Duisburg grammar school during the First World War , in which he participated from 1914 to 1918, and then studied law in Marburg . During his studies in 1918 he became a member of the Alemannia Marburg fraternity . He was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD , joined the Prussian government service and was Councilor . In 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP . From 1934 to 1935 he was district administrator in the Melle district and from 1937 to 1943 in the Gifhorn district . He was from 1939 Landkommissar in Jędrzejów , then from 1940 Acting District Administrator of Kreishauptmannschaft Jedrzejów. From 1940 he was the provisional and final from 1943 to 1945 District Chief of Kreishauptmannschaft Tomaschow-Mazowiecki . In 1945 he was district administrator in the district of Krummau an der Moldau . From 1943 he was also active as a regional training speaker. After the war he was arrested by the British military government , but not extradited to Poland because he could not be proven to have participated in war crimes ; Proceedings in this regard before German courts were discontinued in 1981 due to the lack of an offense. Glehn worked as an employee of the stoneware trading company in Hanover and in 1954 became managing director of the stoneware industry association in Frechen . He applied for a patent for a socketless stoneware pipe.
