Karl Gustav von Soldan

Karl Gustav Graf von Soldan (* in Swedish Pomerania ; † August 10, 1746 in Tost in Upper Silesia ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of Hussar Regiment No. 6 .

Life

Soldan served in Sweden for 24 years before joining the Prussian Army. In 1739 he became a major in the Brunikowsky Hussar Regiment . After Colonel Hoditz's dismissal in 1743, he became chief of his hussar regiment No. 6. On August 10, 1746, Soldan died in Tost in Upper Silesia.

He took part in both Silesian Wars and fought in the battles near Habelschwerdt , Großstrelitz and Landshut as well as with distinction in the battle of Kesselsdorf .

He was married and is said to have had a daughter who was married to Poland in 1749.
