Karl Heinz Hausmann (born January 3, 1952 in Rotenburg (Wümme) ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

education and profession

After graduating from primary school in Lasfelde , Hausmann initially trained as a model maker. From 1971 to 1980 he was a police officer with the Federal Border Guard . In 1980, Hausmann obtained his technical college entrance qualification and began training as a gymnastics and sports teacher at the German Gymnastics School in Frankfurt am Main in 1981. From 1981 to 1992 he worked as a technical employee in work preparation. In 1992 Hausmann went into business for himself as a retailer for sportswear.

He is married and has three children.

politics

In 1985 Hausmann became a member of the SPD . Since 1986 he has been a member of the local council of Lasfelde-Petershütte-Katzenstein and there from 1996 to 2011 deputy mayor. In 1988 he was elected to the city council of Osterode am Harz . From 2004 to 2009 he was chairman of the SPD council group there. In the same year he also became chairman of the SPD local association in Osterode am Harz. He held this office until 2010. In 2009 Hausmann took over the chairmanship of the SPD sub-district Osterode. In the course of the merger of the two sub-districts, he was elected deputy chairman of the SPD sub-district of Göttingen in 2016.

From 2006 to 2016 he was a member of the district council of the district of Osterode am Harz and held the position of third deputy district administrator. Since the merger with the Göttingen district in 2016, Hausmann has been part of the district council of the new Göttingen district .

Since January 27, 2008 he has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He was re-elected in the 2013 state election. Hausmann always obtained the direct mandate of the constituency of Osterode .
