Karl Heinz Neufeld
Karl Heinz Neufeld SJ (born February 16, 1939 in Warendorf ) is a German Roman Catholic fundamental theologian .
Life
He entered the Jesuit order in 1960. He studied philosophy at the Berchmanskolleg (1962–1965) and theology in Frankfurt am Main and Lyon -Fouvière (1965–1970). From 1970 to 1974 he completed a doctorate with Henri Bouillard SJ in Paris Adolf von Harnack. Theology of Searching for the Church . During this time he worked for Karl Rahner in Munich (1971–1973) and was a member of the editorial team of “ Voices of the Time ”. After his habilitation in 1980 in Innsbruck in fundamental theology and his doctorate in 1983 in philosophy, history and man. Alfred Delp's idea of history (Munich) he worked from 1978 to 1990 in various positions (including professore ordinario) at the Pontificia Università Gregoriana ( Rome ). From 1990 to 2007 he was a full university professor for fundamental theology in Innsbruck. For many years he was director of the former Institute for Fundamental Theology, co-editor of the complete works of Karl Rahner, director of the Karl Rahner archive and editor of the magazine for Catholic theology. He retired in October 2007 and lives in Osnabrück .
