Karl Isbert

Karl Isbert (born May 7, 1864 in Berlin , † April 13, 1946 in Stuttgart-Degerloch ) was a Prussian officer in the First World War , who carried the title of major general when he left .

Life

He was the son of the ducal Nassau bailiff Jakob Isbert (1808-1881) and Margarethe Tour (1819-1901) and had 7 siblings. Karl Isbert married Hedwig in 1895. He and her had two sons together.

Isbert attended elementary school from 1871 to 1884 . From 1884 to 1889 he attended a soldiers' and military school in Berlin. From 1889 to 1894 he trained as a professional soldier. From 1895 to 1907 he was initially the leader of a troop and from 1907, after passing an examination, became an officer.

At the beginning of the First World War he was from August 3, 1914 to July 11, 1916 in command of the 3rd Lorraine Field Artillery Regiment No. 69, stationed in St. Avold , with the rank of colonel .

On November 15, 1919, Colonel Isbert, the previous head of department at the Artillery Examination Commission, was granted the farewell with the statutory pension and the character of major general.

In 1944 he moved to Stuttgart . He was buried in the forest cemetery in Stuttgart .
