Karl Josef Simonis

Karl Josef Simonis (born November 25, 1902 in Treis ; † May 25, 1983 in Zell , Mosel) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Simonis attended the elementary school in Treis and passed the Abitur at the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Trier in 1923 . He then studied law at the University of Cologne . After the first and second state examinations in law, he was a court assessor from 1930-1935 , before he was dismissed from civil service in 1934. In 1937 he was a notary in Perl. 1939-1945 he did military service as an officer in the reserve . In 1943 he became a notary in Zell.

politics

He was a member of the Stahlhelm and as such was transferred to the SA in 1933 . In 1937 he also became a member of the NSDAP .

In 1949 he became a member of the CDU and was district chairman of the CDU Zell from 1951 to 1966. 1951–1956 he was a member of the city council of Zell and 1952–1966 a member of the district council and district deputy cell.

In 1955 he was elected to the third state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged until 1959. In the state parliament he was a member of the cultural policy committee, the petitions committee and the legal committee.
