Karl Knabl (born January 26, 1850 in Munich ; † June 15, 1904 there ) was a German painter .

Life

Knabl, son of the sculptor Joseph Knabl , was a sculptor and student of his father, but then turned to painting and trained as a genre painter under Karl Theodor von Piloty .

Karl Knabl is buried in the grave of his father Joseph Knabl , located on the old southern cemetery (47 in cemetery New Arkadenplatz) in Munich Location is.

Of his genre pictures, the motifs of which are mostly taken from the lower classes, stand out:
