Remøya (also Rimøya ) is an island belonging to the Sørøyane ("South Islands") in Sunnmøre ( Møre og Romsdal ) in Norway . The archipelago is located southwest of Ålesund .

Remøya belongs to the Herøy municipality . Remøy and Sævik are located on the island. The island is connected to the neighboring island of Leinøya through Remøybrua and to the islands of Gurskøya , Bergsøya and Nerlandsøya via other bridges . The Rundebrua connects with the bird island Runde .
