Karl Lohmann (born May 31, 1866 in Cleve , † February 21, 1946 in Berlin-Halensee ) was a German lawyer and politician (DNVP, ADV).

Life

After attending high school in Duisburg studied Lohmann in Bonn and Berlin law and economics and a doctorate in 1893 for Dr. jur. During his studies in 1885 he became a member of the Frankonia fraternity in Bonn .

After a time as a trainee lawyer and as a court assessor , he became public prosecutor in Verden (Aller) in 1902 and district judge there in 1905 . In 1911 he became presiding judge ( district court director ) at the district court in Altona .

In 1909 he was one of the founding members of the Prussian Judges' Association, on whose board he sat.

Lohmann had been a member of the Executive Committee of the Pan-German Association (ADV) since 1915 . Heinrich Claß intended him to be Minister of Justice in the ADV coup plans. Lohmann also belonged to the “Jewish Committee” of the ADV, which was put together at the end of October 1918, and in February 1919 to the founding committee for the German Protection and Defense Association initiated by the ADV .

From 1924 to 1925 Lohmann was a member of the state parliament of Prussia for the German National People's Party (DNVP) . In May 1924 he was also elected to the Reichstag for the DNVP , where he represented constituency 13 (Schleswig-Holstein). In December 1924 he was re-elected to the Reichstag on the national election proposal of the DNVP, to which he finally belonged until 1928.

In 1926 he became an honorary member of the Alemannia Gießen fraternity . In 1929 Lohmann retired at his own request.
