Karl Ludwig Schall

Karl Ludwig Schall (born September 12, 1827 in Ellwangen , † August 16, 1909 in Ulm ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of government councilor Sixtus Jakob Friedrich von Schall (1789–1877) and cousin of Wilhelm Schall , Schall studied law in Tübingen after attending high school in Ulm . During his studies in 1847 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . After his exams he became a senior justice procurator and then worked as a lawyer in Ulm. Politically, he was initially active in the Progressive Party and then until 1864 in the National Committee of the People's Party . From 1862 to 1868 he was a liberal-democratic member of the Württemberg state parliament for the city of Ulm . He was one of the co-founders of the German Party in Württemberg and has been its chairman in Ulm since 1866. From 1869 to 1893 he belonged to the council of the city of Ulm. In 1894, Schall was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown .
