Eduard Christian Wilhelm Schall (born February 19, 1825 in Forchtenberg ; † January 15, 1886 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer and member of the Württemberg estates (1870–1876).

Wilhelm Schall was born in 1825 as the son of the notary Johann Christian Schall (1796–1869) and his first wife Susanne Wilhelmine Seyboth (1797–1834). His father's second marriage to Henriette Therese Veil (1813–1869) had four half-siblings. From 1851 he was married to Marie Friederike Charlotte, b. Hildebrand (1828-1900). The marriage had eight children, two of whom died early. The liberal politician Karl Ludwig Schall ( VP , 1827-1909) was a cousin of Wilhelm Schall.

Life

After attending grammar school from 1844 to 1848, Schall studied law in Tübingen , where he became a member of the Germania fraternity in 1844 . After his studies he worked as a lawyer in Öhringen , from 1869 at the district court in Schwäbisch Hall and from 1879 in Stuttgart.

Schall belonged to the national liberal DP and was its chairman in Öhringen and later in Schwäbisch Hall. He advocated entry of Württemberg into the German Empire . In the state elections in 1870, he ran in the constituency of Öhringen and was able to clearly beat the previous MP, the accession opponent Albert Neuffer , with 2894 to 321 votes. From 1870 to 1876, Schall represented the constituency of Öhringen in the Württemberg state estates. He was there from 1870 to 1874 member of the Judicial Legislative Commission and from 1875 to 1876 of the Legitimation and Judicial Legislative Commission.

Schall was a Protestant denomination. He was buried in the Prague cemetery in Stuttgart .
