Karl Ludwig von Troschke

Karl Ludwig von Troschke (born July 24, 1718 in Trebschen (Zülichau), † January 30, 1801 in Silberberg ) was a royal Prussian lieutenant general and chief of infantry regiment No. 50 .

His parents were the Electorate Chamberlain Alexander von Troschke , also heir to Trebschen and Schwarzmitz, and his wife Sophie Elisabeth von Kalkreuth .

He became a cadet in Berlin on April 12, 1731 . He entered Prussian service in 1736 and became a private corporal on May 21, 1738 . On March 11, 1739 he became an ensign in Füselier Regiment No. 29 (Jung Borke). In the First Silesian War he took part in the battle of Chotusitz . On July 24, 1743 he was then second lieutenant. During the Second Silesian War he fought in the battles near Hohenfriedberg , Soor and Groß-Jägersdorf .

On June 6, 1749 he became Premier-Lieutenant, on July 3, 1756 he was staff captain, on December 7, 1758 captain and company commander and on September 4, 1759 major. During the Seven Years' War he took part in the battles of Prague , Kolin , Kunersdorf and in 1759 the advance to Rogasen.

On May 20, 1765 he became lieutenant colonel and on May 20, 1771 colonel. Shortly thereafter, on June 5, 1771, he became the commander of Infantry Regiment No. 49 (Black). But on November 1, 1773, he was transferred to the newly established Infantry Regiment No. 54 (Rohr) as commander. On November 25, 1778, he was appointed Chief of Infantry Regiment No. 50 (Rossieres) by Friedrich II . On July 19, 1779 he became major general and on May 20, 1787 he was promoted to lieutenant general. On December 28, 1794 he received his resignation and a pension of 1200 thalers. He died unmarried on January 30, 1801 in Silberberg.
